PharmaPac offers new manufacturing capability

2022-05-20 20:58:16 By : Ms. Millie Zhuang

PharmaPac UK has launched a new manufacturing and filling offering.

The company has previously undertaken liquid filling before, several years ago, but not in this market space and the equipment has been recommissioned specifically for this project.

PharmaPac has brought in a hot mix liquid manufacturing vessel, alongside a liquid bottle filling line capable of filling a variety of sized bottles and fill weights.

The Winkworth equipment specification is 250L mixing tank, solids and liquid mixing, and high shear mixer VSD. PharmaPac, who last year celebrated their 25-year anniversary, are now manufacturing key products for clients and anticipate to produce more products in the near future.

PharmaPac has operated in the pharmaceutical sector for decades – with liquids, creams, gels or powders.

Gareth Lewis, managing director, said 2022 has continued to be a challenging year with supply of materials, especially packaging, requiring an increased level of management and day to day monitoring.

“Lead times and costs are volatile in a market with demand outstripping supply in various sectors, including cartons and labels. Going forward we are looking to invest in new technologies such as cold chain storage and packaging solutions with further growth in serialisation services plus further medical device assembly and packaging solutions.”
