California-based Lagunitas Brewing Company has unveiled its latest creation with launch of "Hi-Fi Hops," an IPA-inspired, THC and/or CBD-infused sparkling water.
Produced in conjunction with CannaCraft, a manufacturer of cannabis-based products, Lagunitas supplies the tasty, IPA-inspired sparkling water, while CannaCraft is responsible for the THC-infusion process, and applies methods to ensure that THC is evenly dispersed throughout the beverage, essentially making every drop of the hop-based H20 dankly delicious.
CannaCraft's sub-brand AbsoluteXtracts, spent several months perfecting the formulation of Hi-Fi. Through a proprietary extraction and emulsification process, they were able to remove the cannabis flavor so the hops flavor shines through, as well as evenly distribute the cannabis oil throughout the beverage to create consistent enjoyment while drinking.
Additionally, according to Lagunitas, the name, Hi-Fi Hops, is not just a nod to the high from the THC or their appreciation of music, but it celebrates the high-fidelity quality of the hops being expressed, all without alcohol.
Hi-Fi Hops is non-alcoholic, contains zero calories, and will be available in 12-ounce cans. It is expected to hit California dispensary shelves first, starting this July in two dosages. The white edition has 5 milligrams of THC and 5 milligrams of CBD, while the purple edition has 10 milligrams of THC.
